An estimate, not advice
The calculators apply the statewide rates and rules published by each state, the local rate you enter, and Census Bureau statistics. They are not tax, legal or accounting advice. Whether a sale is taxable, which local rate applies at an address and what a property owes are decided by the seller's state, the local jurisdictions and the county assessor. The site is independent of all of them. Method and limits: method page.
Liability
Facts are re-read at their sources and the engines are tested at every release, without any guarantee that no error remains. The publisher is not liable for a decision taken on an estimate alone. Report errors through the contact page.
Intellectual property
Texts, design and code belong to the publisher; short quotations with a link are welcome. Census Bureau data are public domain works of the U.S. government.
Embedding
The sales tax calculator may be embedded free of charge with its credit link visible: see the embed page.
Personal data
The site sets no cookie and the publisher records no personal data; stability is monitored anonymously, without cookies, with Microsoft Clarity. Details in the privacy policy and on the cookies page.

Governing law
French law; failing an amicable settlement, the courts of France. Updated: 2026-10-05.
Estimates only: the figures on this page apply each state's published rates and rules to the numbers you enter. They do not replace the receipt of the seller, the bill of your county or city, or the decision of the state department of revenue.
